Sunday School Updates Summer Classes 2012Come join us! Classes meet at 9:30 AM. "Friends - Past, Present and Future" with David Brindle The adult class will begin with a brief overview of Friends (Quakers) in the United states in order to place our meeting in the wider Quaker Context. We will then begin a process of coming to a better understanding of who WE are by examining elements of our past. This will continue beyond Sunday School and become a meeting-wide project. Adults will meet each Sunday except Monthly Meeting Sundays (6/17 and 7/15) through August 26. "Exploration of the Quaker SPICES - A Meeting for Children" with a team of teachers Children (pre-K through Grade 6) will have an opportunity to experience a traditional Friends Meeting with opening silence and facing benches. Through scripture, songs, object lessons, children's moments, and crafts children will learn and apply the Quaker Testimonies (SPICES) of Simplicity, Peace, Integrity, Community, Equality and Service. Children will meet every Sunday through Labor Day. ______________________________________________________________ |
